We are a family owned local newspaper based in Buckie.

The Banffshire Advertiser has been in the Johnston family since it was first established in 1881 by WF Johnston.

It is now run by Jack and Jackie Johnston along with our sister newspapers, The Banffshire Herald and The Huntly Express, which were acquired in 1990.

We pride ourselves in our family history and hope to continue in the future for as long as possible.
